Eiffel Tower and Seine River Cruise Tour

Eiffel Tower and Seine River Cruise Tour

France constructed the Eiffel Tower in 1889 for the World Fair. Since then it has held the title of the tallest structure in Paris. As a famous tourist monument, it is also the most visited in the world – firmly on everybody’s bucket list! Your tour begins, fittingly, outside the Architecture museum at the Palais de Chaillot. From here, your guide will show you the most photo-friendly angles of the tower. Don’t forget your camera so you can snap some shots that will help you remember your remarkable day in the City of Light.

Your expert, English-speaking guide will lead you across Pont d’Iena towards the Iron Lady, all the while filling you in with fascinating stories about how the Parisians hated the tower before it became a symbol of the city. You’ll also discover the background story of the man who made his career out of going against what others thought – Gustav Eiffel. And your guide will regale you with more tales of the Military School located nearby: how it was created with the aim of eliminating exclusivity from the military, and so on. You’ll cross the Champs de Mars area, now used by the French youth as a space to sit back, relax and enjoy a picnic or a nice bottle of wine!

Once reached the bottom of the Eiffel Tower you will take advantage of our reserved entrance to the elevator, bringing you to the observation deck on the 2nd floor. At this height, you’ll easily be able to see the monuments of Paris as far as the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs Elysees and the rooftop of the other beautiful survivor, Notre Dame. Explore the Eiffel Tower itself at your own pace, and don’t forget your camera to capture the incredible views of the city!

There is more! If you are eager to go higher, you can upgrade your tour and ascend another level. The 3rd level is as high as you can go on the Eiffel Tower and from here the panoramic views over Paris are unforgettable. The sky really is the best vantage point!

When you come back down, your tour continues to a cruise boat docked less than 200m away on the banks of the Seine. Once you board the boat you can enjoy a complimentary glass of French champagne so you can sit back and relax as you glide along the enchanting Seine for an alternative view of the iconic monuments of Paris. You’ll see the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Conciergerie as you float by, accompanied by an entertaining and informative live commentary from a knowledgeable local guide. Get to know Paris intimately on this incredible tour, and fall in love with the most romantic city in Europe.
