What to do in Playa Del Carmen when we come to travel to MEXICO CITY, we have a multitude of activities to do and very often it is not the problem of what we are going to do in Playa Del Carmen but rather that we do not have enough time to visit everything. So if you come for a week it’s a bit short, the ideal being 2 weeks of holidays.
THE FIRST EXCURSION.
One of the first things to do is to know the culture MAYA and to visit the ruins of Chichen Itza which are located about 3 hours from Playa but which are classified as one of the 7 wonders of the world, but I know that when you have a week’s vacation it’s a bit long as an excursion to make so many trips by bus, so I let judge and appreciate for yourself it depends on your interest in archaeological sites.
THE SECOND ESSENTIAL SITE.
Tea ruins of Tulum and Coba also very interesting and above all much less far so it’s a good compromise, you can do both in the day.
TO SEE ALSO.
The ruins of Ek Balam new fashionable archaeological site and above all a little less visited so not bad for a slightly quieter visit.
The ruins of Muyil just after Tulum another small archaeological site even less known so still quite quiet.
DON’T FORGET THE BEACHES.
The magnificent beaches of Tulumand this sea turquoise blue superb place a real moment to enjoy a real little corner of paradise.
Tea Akumal-beach to swim with the turtles, another unforgettable moment.
Puerto Aventura is quite nice for a short walk and a drink on the marina at the end of the day and see the dolphins.
Go visit the island of Cozumel to go around by scooter or car and go snorkeling to see the small fish and the big ones with your mask and snorkel.
The most beautiful of excursions sian kaan biosphere.
Visit Puerto Morelos, a former small fishing port with its leaning make-up and its beautiful large beaches where you can take a leisurely stroll.
THE DIVING underwater with our friends of the PHOCEA diving club
Visit Cancun its downtown and its hotel zone with all its commercial places.
AND OF COURSE NOT TO BE MISSED WHEN YOU COME TO THE RIVIERA MAYA.
Another activity is to visit the Maya portal at the fondador parks where there is a Mayan show and the really nice acrobats.
And of course take a walk on the famous Quinta Avenida.
