Dallas, a big city in Texas rich in its oil and which has bought a cash culture, forms with Forth Worth its sister next door rather cowgirl “the metroplex”, economic center where large international companies have settled.
Dallas is best known as the city where JFK met his tragic end in the 1960s, then for having served as the setting for the soap opera of the Ewing family and its famous JR.
The idea that we have of it is therefore quite violent. It is true and false at the same time.
Everything is “huge” in Dallas, some houses, downtown with the buildings of Pei (the man of the Louvre pyramid in Paris) at the foot of which we find Bourdelle and Rodin, the climate (intense heat in summer, incredible thunderstorms in March, tornadoes), hamburgers, shopping centers, rodeos, limos, cowboy police! etc… Let yourself be surprised…
Dallas is also a city which for a family expatriation has many advantages: quality of life, multitude of things to do as a family or as a couple, lots of spaces and even sometimes very large spaces (we are in Texas anyway )! and we are finally far enough but close enough to all the other states (4h flight to NYC, Florida, California…)

You live in Dallas
The women who are going to live in this city need your testimonies!!!! Expatriation in Dallas as in any other large American city can be scary, the distances are great, we are far from France, especially for those who are leaving for the first time.
That’s why your testimony of “life in Dallas” is important to them.
It is so much more reassuring to know, through the story of a French-speaking woman who lives abroad like us, the place where we are going to live, or also before making a decision to have an overview of what waits.
What are you doing in Dallas? Where should you live? districts ? can we work there? Children, small, big? The exits ? Your activities ? relations with the texans? What to do on the weekend? outings, walks, etc.
