Orlando is a beautiful destination to relax, have fun and enjoy. There are many things to do in this city: amusement parks, shopping, the beach, etc. To know everything about the budget to allocate for a week in Orlandofeel free to read the article I wrote on it.
1. Amusement parks
This must surely be the reason for your coming to this city, so inevitably, it is the first thing to do! You will not be able to do all the amusement parks. To be honest, you can do them all, but your body won’t follow you! The best is to pick a few and enjoy them to the fullest.
Walt Disney World Resort
If you’re a Disney fan, you’ll be happy in Orlando. There are many Disney theme parks in the city with different themes. Indeed, you have the choice between:
• Magic Kingdom and its famous Cinderella Castle
• Disney’s Hollywood Studios
• Epcot
• Disney’s Animal Kingdom
• Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, a water park
• Disney’s Blizzard Beach, a water park
• Disney Spring, the shopping area with several shops and restaurants in the magical Disney atmosphere with free access!
Universal Orlando Resort
In addition to Disney, there are many Universal theme parks in Orlando. The parks all have different themes, so you can choose between:
• Universal Studios Florida
• Universal’s Islands of Adventure
• Universal’s Volcano Bay
• Universal CityWalk (the shopping area, like Disney Spring, with free access).
All these parks have advantages and disadvantages that I have described to you in a dedicated article. It’s not just the Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Resort parks in Orlando. You will find other different theme parks: SeaWorld, Aquatica, The Holy Land Experience (with an Old and New Testament theme), Kennedy Space Center, LegoLand, etc.
2. Shopping
Orlando is full of diverse places to shop. Indeed, there are different outlets in Orlando, all as interesting as each other with attractive prices and different brands. Here are the best addresses for shopping in Orlando:
Orlando Outlet Marketplace
A place with many discounted brands including Victoria’s Secret, Calvin Klein, Levi’s, Nike, New Balance, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. You will find more information on the site of the place.
5269 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819-9448
Orlando International Premium Outlets
In this outlet you will also find interesting things with brands like Adidas, Aéropostale, Armani, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Disney, Diesel, Karl Lagerfeld, Lacoste, Puma, Salvatore Ferragamo, Victoria’s Secret, etc. You will find more information on the site of the place.
4951 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819-9439
Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets
Like the two previous ones, this place offers many brands at bargain prices. This outlet looks like a real little village, it’s very pretty. Do not hesitate to look at the proposed brands in this place.
8200 Vineland Avenue, Orlando, FL 32821-6811
The Mall at Millenia
This mall is the most beautiful, in my opinion. This is not an outlet, the collections are current with normal prices. Among the 150 shops present in this center, you will find Hermès, Chanel, Gucci, Sephora, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, etc. Do not hesitate to take a walk, it is worth the detour.
8001 S Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL 32809-7654
3. The beach in Orlando
Get away from the city and head to the coast to relax by the water and enjoy the good weather. There are wonderful places to discover.
Cocoa Beach
Cocoa Beach is a small town about 1 hour from Orlando by car. This place offers a magnificent specious and exotic beach. Wait for the sunset and savor the moment! In addition to the beach, walk along the Cocoa Beach Boardwalk and discover small shops and restaurants including the unmissable Ron Jon Surf.
Clearwater Beach
On the west coast, discover Clearwater Beach. This is the calm, white sand beach with blue sea. The perfect place to relax.
Daytona Beach
Another little piece of paradise an hour from Orlando, Daytona Beach. You can either relax on the beach or swim with the dolphins.
4. And Orlando, the city?
Go see what the center of the city is like, away from the parks. Without the bustle, without the animation. Honestly, I was slightly disappointed. Walking the streets of Orlando is not very interesting. The city itself has failed to take advantage of the influx of tourism to develop the city and make it attractive. Apart from the magnificent lakes with great views, there is nothing to see in the city… On the other hand, everything else is incredible. But nothing is worth visiting Orlando, the city. Except to see Lake Eola!
On the other hand, take a walk on International Drive, the area in which many of the city’s hotels are located. You will find very good restaurants, bars, a nice atmosphere, places to visit, etc. It’s a friendly place.
